The final day of the 8th Biennial International Group Theory Conference (8BIGTC), held on Tuesday, 29 July 2025, began with a plenary session by Prof. Ahmad Erfanian (Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran) on “A Generalization of Perfect Groups under an Automorphism.” This was followed by Prof. Yeni Susanti (Universitas Gadjah Mada) who presented on “Cayley Graphs over Cyclic Groups of Particular Valencies.” After a brief tea and coffee break, participants continued into the final round of parallel sessions, featuring discussions on diverse topics in group theory and its applications.

The closing ceremony was held in the afternoon at the auditorium on the 7th floor of Building D. It began with a video presentation highlighting the key moments and achievements of 8BIGTC 2025. The committee’s closing remarks were delivered by Prof. Ahmad Erfanian and Prof. Yeni Susanti, expressing gratitude to all speakers, participants, and organizers for their contributions to the success of the conference.
This was followed by a reflective segment titled “Impressions and Insights from the Participants,” with brief remarks from Prof. Rebecca Waldecker (plenary speaker), Dr. Manimaran (invited speaker), Prof. Rajat, and two selected participants, sharing their experiences and appreciation.

Looking ahead, we were pleased to invite Prof. Kuncham Syam Kumar to share a few words and formally announce the 9th BIGTC, which will be held two years from now, continuing the tradition of fostering collaboration in the field of group theory.

To officially close this year’s BIGTC, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Mhd. Reza M. I. Pulungan, S.Si., M.Sc, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Universitas Gadjah Mada, delivered his closing remarks, commending the academic spirit of the event and the strong international participation. The conference concluded with a farewell lunch, marking the end of a fruitful and inspiring four-day event.
