The final day of the 8th Biennial International Group Theory Conference (8BIGTC)<\/strong>, held on Tuesday, 29 July 2025<\/strong>, began with a plenary session by Prof. Ahmad Erfanian<\/strong> (Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran) on \u201cA Generalization of Perfect Groups under an Automorphism.\u201d This was followed by Prof. Yeni Susanti<\/strong> (Universitas Gadjah Mada) who presented on \u201cCayley Graphs over Cyclic Groups of Particular Valencies.\u201d After a brief tea and coffee break, participants continued into the final round of parallel sessions, featuring discussions on diverse topics in group theory and its applications.<\/p>\n

The closing ceremony<\/strong> was held in the afternoon at the auditorium on the 7th floor of Building D. It began with a video presentation highlighting the key moments and achievements of 8BIGTC 2025. The committee\u2019s closing remarks were delivered by Prof. Ahmad Erfanian<\/strong> and Prof. Yeni Susanti<\/strong>, expressing gratitude to all speakers, participants, and organizers for their contributions to the success of the conference.<\/p>\n

This was followed by a reflective segment titled \u201cImpressions and Insights from the Participants,\u201d<\/strong> with brief remarks from Prof. Rebecca Waldecker<\/strong> (plenary speaker), Dr. Manimaran<\/strong> (invited speaker), Prof. Rajat<\/strong>, and two selected participants, sharing their experiences and appreciation.<\/p>\n

Looking ahead, we were pleased to invite Prof. Kuncham Syam Kumar<\/strong> to share a few words and formally announce the 9th BIGTC<\/strong>, which will be held two years from now<\/strong>, continuing the tradition of fostering collaboration in the field of group theory.<\/p>\n

To officially close this year\u2019s BIGTC, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Mhd. Reza M. I. Pulungan, S.Si., M.Sc<\/strong><\/span>, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Universitas Gadjah Mada, delivered his closing remarks<\/strong>, commending the academic spirit of the event and the strong international participation. The conference concluded with a farewell lunch<\/strong>, marking the end of a fruitful and inspiring four-day event.<\/p>\n
